Interested in becoming a UPA member?
Servicing swimming pools must be a your primary
occupation with repair work being secondary.
One year experience servicing swimming pools is required. Individual chapters
may ask for more experience.
Chapters sometimes require an existing member to sponsor new members but
requirements vary from chapter to chapter.

Crappy poolmen need not apply.
New Chapters
New chapters may be formed and existing chapters can split off with a minimum of 10 members. Employees of members cannot be counted as chapter members in order to meet minimum chapter membership requirements.
Chapters write their own by-laws. Chapters pay their insurance premiums directly to the broker. Chapters are not required to give money to the UPA Joint Board.
Fireman's Fund
requires every chapter to meet a
minimum of 9 times a year. Chapters that fail to meet this basic requirement
will be dropped.
The proposed new Chapter President must make arrangements with the UPA President to
appear at a UPA quarterly Board meeting and
request admission.
